OUR TEAM

Brothers, Alex and Frank Navarro, are

co-founders of SEND A CHILD TO SCHOOL.

Alex Navarro, President & Co-founder of SEND A CHILD TO SCHOOL is currently a Junior at Boston College. Responsibilities include volunteer coordination, fundraising and grants, legal and banking, marketing, and other administration.

Frank Navarro, Co-founder of SEND A CHILD TO SCHOOL, is a recent graduate of Wake Forest University, and continues to support the organization in an advisory role, particularly in the areas of website maintainance and marketing.

In 2008, our first volunteer, Hong Yi Zheng, joined the team as our website and graphic design expert. A recent graduate of Suffolk University, Hong yi continues to be available on an advisory basis.

Our Old Saybrook Chapter:

Current chapter Co-Presidents, Amy Zheng and Lexi McGee, head up our Old Saybrook team. Great thanks to former co-president Teddy Gudis and Liam O'Donell for all their service as they go off to pursue college. Also thanks to our Old Saybrook past volunteers including Conor Reid, Tenzin Wangechuk, Eric Manuel, Julia Depelermo, Nick Depelermo, and Andrew Pierson who so generously contributed their time during high school. Best of luck at college!

Our Glastonbury Chapter:

Roman Green, a high school junior and Katie Green, a recent Wake Forest University graduate joined the team in 2009, Roman as the Glastonbury, CT chapter president and Katie as a grant researcher and volunteer recruiter. We thank Wake Forest University for approving Send A Child to School as an internship opportunity for Katie.

Our Stonington Chapter:

Max Steinmetz, chapter President and high school junior, is working hard this year to expand his volunteer base and get the word out about our kids.
